Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Sometimes in life we reach a place where we feel totally helpless. Every door seems closed; every way of escape blocked; in short, every hope shattered.
If you are in that place today, rejoice! Being at the bottom of the pit is the best place to be because it is the place of greatest need for God.
Joseph had to be thrown into the pit before being rescued and set on the road to Egypt where he fulfilled God’s great call on his life. We, too, have to be “thrown” into our personal pit of helplessness from which we can be rescued by God’s merciful hand.
When the Jews found themselves in the wilderness with Pharaoh’s soldiers behind them and the Red Sea in front of them, they panicked. But God made a way for them in that wilderness. By a sovereign act of His grace, He parted the waters of the Red Sea and made a way of escape for His people.
No matter in what wilderness you find yourself today, trust God to make a way for you, too. If you believe that He will, He will.
