Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
A major key to receiving from God is to act on His Word as though it were true, because it is. Often, however, what the Word says seems to contradict what our experience says. When this occurs, we must choose to believe the Word over our experience.
Now, I will be the first to admit that this is not always easy to do. In fact, in most instances, it is very difficult to do. Yet, if we want to see the Word of God produce its fruit in our lives, we must choose to believe the Word no matter what our experience tells us.
By His very nature, God cannot lie. If He could lie, He would not be God. Therefore, what God says is true. Anything that contradicts what He says is not true; it is a lie.
If you are believing something other than what God says, you are believing a lie. Take time this week to examine your heart. Ask yourself what you are believing that contradicts what God has said in His Word. Then change your belief to line up with what God says.
