” . . . Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5: 20 AMP)

Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
I love people who call a spade a spade. There is no guile in their hearts. They speak the truth with boldness and humility.
Such people are few and far between. I have the honor of living with three of them: my husband and my two precious daughters. I always know where they stand because they say what they mean and mean what they say.
The world at large, however, speaks with forked tongue. A forked tongue is one that speaks one thing but means another. Such a tongue creates havoc in relationships and in every aspect of life because it is rooted in deceit.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to truth. As Psalm 51: 6 proclaims, “God desires truth in the inward parts.” Let’s purpose in our hearts always to speak the truth and to speak it in love.
