“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go . . . .” (Psalm 32: 8)
Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Recently, my husband and I had to make one of the most difficult decisions of our lives. After much prayer, we knew that God was leading us to leave our beloved church of 25 years.
Stepping out of our comfort zone into uncharted waters was not an easy thing to do. Yet, as we took the step of faith, God immediately began to confirm His will by an outpouring of unexpected blessings.
Obeying God will cost us something. At times, the price will be small; at other times, it will very great. At all times, however, it will be worth it.
Is God asking you to do something you’re reluctant to do? Have you grown comfortable with the status quo? Are you afraid to trust God with your future?
If so, be encouraged. As God promises in His Word, His plans for you “are for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29: 11).
While we may not know the future, we know Who holds the future. And bottom line, that’s all that really matters.
