” . . . a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.” (Proverbs 17: 27)
Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Understanding is the ability to grasp the essence of a problem or situation. Webster defines it as “the ability to achieve a grasp of the nature, significance, or explanation of something.”
In order to understand, one’s spirit must be calm. Calmness brings clarity, and clarity fosters an objective view of a problem. Clarity, in turn, fosters understanding. And understanding results in harmony.
To become upset and agitate is to invite confusion. And confusion causes misunderstanding. When one remains calm in spirit, willing to consider a problem objectively, then good results ensue.
As you face problems this wekk, remember to remain calm in spirit. As you do, understanding will follow.
