” . . . I resort to prayer.” (Psalm 109: 4 AMP)
Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
What is your first thought when faced with a crisis? Is it fear, despair, hpelessness? If so, let me encourage you by suggesting that your first thought be prayer.
When David wrote Psalm 109, he was being bombarded on all sides with problems. People were lying about him; others were saying hateful things about him; and still others were fighting him. All this was happening even though David had treated all of these people with love and kindness.
Are you in a similar position? Have you done good to someone only to have evil returned to you? Have you been faithful on your job only to have a jealous co-worker lie about your?
If so, do what David did: Resort to prayer. Prayer is your means of communicating with God. Unburden your heart to the Lord. Then listen for what He tells you to do. As long as your heart is clean before Him, He will protect you from all evil.
