Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Faith is recognized in adversity. In order for faith to be faith, it must meet resistance. Just as exercising a muscle builds bodily strength, so does exercising our faith build spiritual strength.
God allows resistance in our lives to build our faith because it is faith that pleases Him and that draws His blessings into our lives.
Resistance comes in many forms: sickness, financial problems, and family problems, among other things. When facing these problems, we must hold on to our faith no matter how bleak the situation may appear. We must stand firm, knowing that our faith will not fail us because it is based on God’s Word. And God’s Word never fails.
No matter what you are faccing today, stand firm in your faith in Christ. He is the solid Rock that will never crumble. No matter how strongly the winds rage around you, you are safe on that Rock.
Your sister in Christ,
Dr. MaryAnn Diorio
