Precious Disciple of the Daystar, Jesus Christ,
Have you been holding on to a promise of God, but seemingly to no avail? Are you ready to give up on God and on yourself as well? Perhaps you’re struggling with a sin that you feel you can’t overcome.
If so, take a close look at this week’s Scripture verse. Where did the Israelites give in to their craving (i.e., their flesh; their weakness)? In the desert.
The desert represents dryness. There are physical deserts, and there are spiritual deserts. Our Lord is showing us that we fall into temptation when we are in a spiritual desert. Why? Because we have allowed our spirits to grow dry. How? By not spending time in fellowship with our Father.
If you are in a spiritual desert, then begin to drink freely from the springs of life the Lord has graciously provided for you in the midst of the desert. Drink freely of His Word. It will revive you and make you strong.
Once you are strong, you will no longer give in to your flesh. Your flesh will give in to the Christ in you!
Your sister in Christ,
