“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1: 8)

Precious Disciple of the Daystar, Jesus Christ,
The key to success in every area of life is found in God’s Word. In Joshua 1: 8, our Lord gives us the formula for success. This formula has three parts:
1) We must continually speak/confess God’s Word in every situation.
2) We must meditate on God’s Word day and night.
3) We must obey everything that God commands in His Word.
All three parts of God’s formula for success are intimately connected. As we speak God’s Word, we are to think about it (meditate on it). To meditate literally means “to chew on it,” much as we chew our food in order to digest it to draw forth its nutrients. As we “chew” on the Word of God, we draw forth its spiritual nutrients.
We meditate on God’s Word so that it will be continually on our minds. When the Word is continually on our minds, then we are more likely to obey it. As with anything else, we give our utmost attention to whatever is continually before us.
So, if you want to be successful in life, follow God’s formula for success. His formula is the only one that truly works.
