Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Have you been praying for something for a long time–perhaps years–but still have not received an answer to your prayer? Have you been crying out to God, but for some reason, the Heavens seem like brass?
The most likely reason that you have not received an answer to your prayer is that you have not been praying in faith; you have been praying in hope.
Most Christians confuse faith with hope. Hope thinks it will have the answer some day. Faith knows it has the answer now. The Bible commands us to believe we have the answer when we pray, not when we see the answer (Hebrews 11: 24).
So go back to square one and begin praying in faith. Find a promise in God’s Word that relates to your prayer request. Then believe that promise no matter what your circumstances look like. Stand on that promise and trust God to bring it to pass. Now that you are praying in faith, you may be pleasantly surprised at how quickly He does so!
Your sister in Christ,
