Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
What is faithfulness? According to Webster, faithfulness is the quality of being “steadfast in affection or allegiance; . . . firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty.”
Faithfulness is a rare quality. In fact, the Word of God says in Proverbs 20: 6, “A faithful man who can find?” Clearly, it is difficult to find a faithful person.
Yet, our Lord desires that we be faithful–faithful to Him, faithful to His Word, faithful to people with whom we have established relationships, faithful in our jobs, and faithful in our calling.
Can we truthfully say that we have been faithful? Or have we given up at the first sign of pressure or defeat?
If we have not been faithful, then let us repent and determine from this moment on that we will be a faithful people.
When our Lord returns, let Him easily find us among His faithful ones.
