__________________________________________________Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
This week our Lord would have us continue on the theme of pride.
Pride is the root of the seven cardinal, or deadly, sins. Probably the worst danger of pride is that it deceives us and blinds us to the truth. A proud person is not willing to admit that he is wrong. He is not willing to face his sin. He is not willing to change.
Pride is a dangerous threat to spiritual health because by its very nature, it denies that it exists. With David, let us ask God to search our hearts and to expose any pride within them (Psalm 139:23). Then let us repent and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God (I Peter 5:6).
Your sister in Christ,
Dr. Mary Ann Diorio
