Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Does your life seem to be falling apart? Are you confused, upset, sick, hurting, or in debt? Have your prayers gone unanswered? If so, check your heart for envy and/or strife.
Envy is that sinking feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when something good happens to another person and you wish it had happened to you instead. Strife is that contending for superiority over someone else. For instance, it is the attempt to have the last word, to insist on your own rights, to put someone in his place.
Both envy and strife are deadly. Resist them at all costs. Doing so may literally save your life.
Your sister in Christ,
Dr. MaryAnn Diorio
