Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Jesus has made it easy for us to live the Christian life. He has summed it up in one commandment: love one another.
Our Scripture verse for this week speaks of loving one another fervently. According to Webster, “fervent” means “marked by great warmth of feeling.” Are we loving one another fervently?
First Corinthians 13: 4-8 describes the nature of love. It is patient and kind; it is not proud; it is not rude or selfish; it does not insist on its own way; it is not touchy or irritable. This passage provides a great checklist to determine whether or not we are walking in love.
The world will be won to Christ through our love. No miracle, no testimony, no preaching can compare to the power of God’s love working in us and through us.
Let us make walking in love our greatest aim (1 Corinthians 14: 1). Without it, nothing else matters.
