Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
To abide means to dwell in continually, to adopt as one’s home. Wherever you choose to live, that place is your home.
When we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, we chose to make our home in Him. Since Christ and the Word of God are one and the same, we need to dwell in the Word. The Word should be our final authority in every circumstance of life. The Word should e the beginning of our day, the end of our day, and everything in between.
This doesn’t mean that we must spend every minute reading the Word. It does mean that we hsould spend a designated time daily to meet with Christ, to pray, and to study His Word. Then, throughout the day, we should commune with Him as we go about our daily activities, ejoying His company and receiving His advice and diretion as we make decisions. In short, our life should revolve around Jesus, the Word.
There is a saying that home is where the heart is. Where is your heart? If it is not in the Word of God, then you need to come home.
Your sister in Christ,
