Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
The Bible asks a most sobering question: “Who can find a faithful man?” (Proverbs 20: 6). What does it mean to be faithful? According to Webster, to be faithful means to be “steadfast in affectin or allegiance: loyal.”
As followers of Jesus Christ, we must be loyal to His Word in thought, word, and deed. Let us examine our hearts and ask ourselves these questions:
1) Am I being loyal to my Lord in what I am thinking? Am I obeying Philippians 4: 8 where He commands me to think pure, lovely, and noble thoughts about myself, about others, and about my circumstances?
2) Am I being loyal to my Lord in what I am doing? Do I respond with love in all situations, especially when others treat me badly?
3) Am I being loyal to my Lord in what I am speaking? Do my words uplift or tear down? Do I complain, or do I praise? Do my words agree with what God says about me in His Word?
Someday we will alls tand before Jesus. I want Him to say to me, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” (Emphasis mine).
I know you do, too.
Your sister in Christ,
