Precious Disciple of the Daystar, Jesus Christ,
Everything hinges on the Word of God. The Word of God is Jesus, and by Him all things were made (Colossians 1:16). By Him all things are upheld and maintained (Colossians 1:17). By Him all things are brought to completion (Revelation 22:13).
The Word is all-powerful. It is the Light that drives out the darkness, the Healing that drives out sickness, the Joy that drives out sorrow, and the Strength that drives our weakness. Why then are so many Christians not experiencing light, health, joy, and strength in their lives?
Our Scripture verse for this week gives us the answer: "
they are powerful and strong who execute His Word." According to Webster, to execute means to carry out fully, to perform what is required to give validity to, to do. In other words, we will be strong in life, capable of overcoming every trial, if we do the Word-that is, if we obey it.
The Word of God is our weapon of strength against every onslaught of the enemy. Indeed, the Bible calls the Word the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17).
So no matter what problem you are facing today, use the Word of God against that problem. Find the promise that covers it and wield your sword! It will cut of the enemy's head. Guaranteed!
