Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
Trust has nearly disappeared in our society. In its place, we now witness suspicion, cynicism, and fear. We continually look over our shoulders or expect to be taken advantage of. Even among believers, I find a growing disillusionment with one another. Why is this so?
I believe the reason is that we have placed our trust in man rather than in God. Man will always fail us. Who of us has not been disappointed by a fellow human being, even a fellow Christian? And, even worse, who of us has not disappointed others?
The only Person Who will never fail us is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He alone is perfect. As for the rest of us, we are striving toward that perfection. Let’s do our best to emulate Christ by doing our best to be worthy of trust.
