Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
At the root of faith are a knowledge of God’s character and an unwavering belief in His love for us. Fear is the result of our lack of knowledge of God’s character and of our failure to believe in His love. Lack of knowledge of God’s character and failure to believe in His love keep us from trusting Him.
When we truly know Who God is, we have no problem trusting Him. When we truly believe that He loves us, we can easily surrender ourselves to His care, knowing that a loving God will never hurt us but will, instead, always take care of us.
If you are struggling with fear, you simply need to get to know God better. The more you know God, the less you will fear. The more you believe in His love for you, the greater will be your peace. Eventually, you will reach the point of being so consumed with God that fear will not be able to touch you.
