Precious Disciple of Jesus Christ, the Daystar,
As the return of our Lord approaches, world events will reach fever pitch in terms of lawlessness, deception, and natural disasters. Indeed, our Lord prophesied these very things in Matthew 24. Several hundred years earlier, Ezekiel prophesied that when the watchman sees the sword coming upon the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people (Ezekiel 33: 3).
In these perilous times, we are to be watchmen for our Lord Jesus Christ. We are to warn the world that the time is short and that today is the day of salvation. Whoever hees our warning will save his life; that is, he will spend eternity in Heaven. Whoever does not heed our warning iwll lose his life; that is, he will spend eternity in hell, forever separated from God. Let us, therefore, warn the lost before it is too late.
We must also be watchmen over our own lives lest we fall prey to the wickedness of the world around us. Let us heed God’s warnings to us in our own individual lives and in our churches. Let us pray for one another and encourage one another as the day of the Lord approaches. Then, when the trumpet sounds, we shall be ready to be caught up to meet Him in the air.
And what a glorious day that will be!
